Mulberry Fruit 20:1 Extract
The active ingredients are polyphenols, flavonoids, alkaloids and anthocyanins, which have been suggested to be the active ingredient.
Before we carried this extract, the Elderberry 6.5% was the strongest Anthocyanin extract. Anthocyanin is the “master” polyphenol and Anthocyanidin is the oxidized form. Both have beneficial effects, but unless you specifically want Anthocyanidins, this Mulberry Anthocyanin extract would give the benefits of both.
This is by far the most Anthocyanin for your dollar.
Benefits of Mulberry Extract:
Anti-diabetic, Antioxidative, Helpful in iron deficiency anaemia, Anti cancer activity for colon cancer and is Anti-inflammatory.
Suggested Serving Size:
500mg 3x daily.
Mulberry Extract, being a help with blood sugar imbalances, may interact with several medications for diabetes mellitus and may decrease the blood sugar level too low. Most diabetics have a good eye on their blood sugar levels, but as with any new addition to your diet please pay extra special attention to the changes that occur.
If you take any of these medications pay special attention: glimepiride (Amaryl), glyburide (DiaBeta, Glynase PresTab, Micronase), insulin, pioglitazone (Actos), rosiglitazone (Avandia), chlorpropamide (Diabinese), glipizide (Glucotrol), tolbutamide (Orinase)
If you are taking a chemo or radio therapy, or suffering from multiple chemical sensitivities (MCS, or chemical allergies) other herbal extracts and vitamins are recommended to help prevent and reduce any side effects of these drugs. This varies by individual, and you may wish to have a personal e-consultation.
